I'm using VSS 6d. If you're one cup short on coffee and do a Get Latest
with two days worth of updates that have not yet been checked in, why does
VSS not warn you? It just does the Get Latest seemlessly without saying a
word. It seems it should only do the seemless thing if you don't have local
files with newer dates than the server files.

Hi Phil,

If the local files are read-only, VSS will just replace them with the
database version without saying a word when you do Get. If the local
files are writable, VSS will behave according to the "Replace writable
files" setting at VSS Tools->Options->Local Files tab. By default, VSS
will prompt a dialog box asking you whether to keep your changes or
not.

You can also post the questions on SourceSafe here:

I will try my best to help you.

Thanks.
