Archived from groups: microsoft>public>frontpage>programming (more info?)

Hi,
I've created a hyperlink as follows;
<a href="mailto:amarjit@nanuwa.com?subject=useless website"
target="_search"> send me an email </a>

However on clicking this, it creates a new blank browser page, then opens
outook.
How can I stop this from happening, and make it stay on the current page and
open outlook.

(I'm using expression web 2)

I'm new to htlm, so it's a bit confusing.

Thanks for any help

My guess would be to remove the target="_search.

Kathleen, thanks for your reply.

I tried this on a new project
<p><a href="mailto:a@b.com?subject=useless website">Hello World</a></p>

But still get the same results, it opens up a new browser tab with a blank
page, then opens outlook, Hum.

Can you think of anything else?, otherwise thanks for trying to help.

Happy Easter Hols.

I think it must be a configuration issue on your PC - I just tried it on my
PC and it opened a new message window in Outlook Express.

Thanks Kathleen,

I changed site Settings/Preview/enabled 'For all web pages' radio button.

Works as intended now.
