In my report there is a field for the status of work orders being open or
closed. I would like to keep the info for the closed WO's, but to have them
automatically hiden on my report after the status is changed to closed. Is
there a way to do that, that is not too terribly complicated?

Just use criteria of <>"Closed" in the query that feeds the report.
