My HP5150 has the problem so I installed an "additional" printer using the
same port (usb) and the HP990c driver (printing of course to my 5150).
I can print OK in 990's normal and draft modes, but best quality gives a
page which is a quarter the size of the normal page.
It seems that the problem is related to the quality/resolution settings of
the 5xxx series, and I'm very surprised that it takes so long for MS/HP to
come up with a solution...

BTW, Visio is not the only application affected by this, I also had similar
problems with applications using VSPrint7.ocx (tech details available if
anyone wants). Same solution applied, so the problem might after all not be
in visio but in windows itself?

I tired this, it works fine on my DeskJet 5160, not the
most elegant solution, but hey, better than nothing

thanks..
this got me started using the 990c driver...
I tried downloading the 5500 driver... and was able to
get draft and best print to work also... not like the 990
that comes out too big in draft and too small in best
mode... but with 5500 driver comes out the right size and
in the right place on the page...
