Custom FP Templates are created /stored in the folders:
For page templates:
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\FrontPage\Pages
For Web Sites:
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\FrontPage\Webs

In both cases as folders name as templatename.tem

PS
- your template provider should normally provide instructions for adding the templates
- or you can see the structure required in the std templates in
%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\PAGES11
or
%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\WEBS11

First open the web you want the template in

Goto File | Import | and the 'Import' Dialog box will appear click the 'Add
File' Button and the 'Add File to Import List' Dialog box will pop up..
just browse to your file

(i.e. the place you saved your file)

through the 'Lookin' drop down menu (click on little black arrow to open)
Click the folder your file is in and a list of the files will pop up in the
pane below..

(if your file does not show up make sure where it says 'Files of type' that
'All Files' is selected from the drop down menu.)

Select the file and press Open

The 'Add File to Import List' Dialog box will close and your back to the
'Import' Dialog box.. .the file you selected will be highlighted.

next press ok

If you want to save the template as a .tem file open it and go to File -
Save As and on the drop down select .tem

If you want to make the template a dwt - see
