Post subject: Font names when printing to PostScript Archived from groups: microsoft>public>visio>printing (more info?)
This is a problem with Visio 2003, not with earlier versions.
When I print my diagrams to a PS printer driver, no matter which one,
Visio changes the font names (e.g. Arial, Times, etc.) to F0, F1, F2
and so on. This causes problems downstream, where we convert the .ps
print file to another file format but no longer know which fonts are
supposed to be used.
Does anyone know why Visio would do this, and more importantly, if it
can be changed to just use the actual font names in the PostScript
file? We tried changing the printer driver settings (e.g. "Native
TrueType fonts" in the PostScript options), but that didn't help. It's
Visio that seems to be doing this.
All times are: Eastern Time (US & Canada) (change)
