Post subject: Editing an Exisiting Website
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>frontpage>client (more info?)

Hi-
I am having issues editing a specific page on my website
(http://templates.haleymail.com/haley_templates/index.smpl?arg=opt_in&aid=510&database=referral)
using FrontPage. I did not design the website, so I really don't know
anything about it. Anyways, when I use the modes "design" "split" and "code"
the word ("monthly") that I need to edit do not show up; however, when I use
the "preview" button it does show up. Does anyone know why that is happening
and what I can do to fix it?

Thanks!

If you can't see it in the code, it could be coming dynamically from
somewhere else. It could be coming from a database, some other file, or
embedded within code somewhere. My guess would be a database since this page
looks like it's data-drive. You can determine that by removing everything
after the ?, which are parameters being passed to the page to generate a
script.

What you need to do is determine what this page does and if there is some
sort of administrative interface that is used to generate the form and text
used on it.

Hope this helps,
