Post subject: Data Graphics clipped by rounded corners Add to elertz
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>visio>troubleshoot (more info?)

Hi group. Very new to Visio, I've stumbled upon a problem I can't
solve. I'm making a network chart with a rounded shape containing a
couple of server icons. I am using data graphics both on the server
icons and on the shape, but I'm having problems placing the shape's
data graphic nicely.

I would like to have the data shown within the shape - either at the
bottom or below the heading. However, the data graphic placement
options are appearantly totally unaware of the surrounding shape. If I
choose "Top" the text is hidden behind the heading. If I choose
"bottom" the text is placed nicely at the bottom, but the shape's
rounded corners are clipping both the label (to the left) and the value
(to the right), making the result hard to read and rather ugly.

I can place the label and value outside the shape and make it work, but
it puzzles me that I can't get it to work the way I wan't it. I have
also tried to remove the rounded corners, but although I can adjust
several settings in the "line" properties, it doesn't seem to have any
kind of effect.

I'm working with Visio 2007 SP1 in Danish (hope my translations are
more or less correct).
