How can I create a new category in the Choose Drawing Type window? When I
create a new drawing I use several of My Templates. It would be nice to
have a shortcut that would open several of my created templates at once
instead of individually.

Use the tools=>option=>advanced=>path and add it in template path (separate
different path with ";").Add the path where your template are.
If you want to keep some image of you template. First add in your template
some shapes that will reflect the features of your template. In the
file=>properties check "the save prewiew" and save your file as template.
Reopen the template as original, open the drawing explorer, right click on
the root and choose protection to check preview. Delete all the shapes in
your model (and in the stencil document of your model to decrease the size
of your model) and save. Hope it can help

and save a copy before the deletions so that you still change the sample
drawing in the future.
