Ok so I cannot get to convert a 97 database to 2007... I go into access 2007
and import the data from the 97 file and then save it as 2007 and it does not
work. Once I try to open the "converted" file it doesn's even open. I fi try
to open the 07 file in 2007 it doesnt let me and tells me i dont have
permission to enable or convert the database. What can I do? How do I go
about converting 97 databases to 2007? Thank you

Have you tried just opening your 97 mdb in 2007?
If you can do that, you should be able to then convert it to 2007.
If you can't open the 97 mdb or the conversion doesn't work, it may be
necessary to first upgrade the 97 to 2000 or 2003.
I remember when 2003 first released, it was recommend that 97 and earlier
should first be converted to 2000 before going to 2003.

Try doing a Compile of the application (through the Debug menu when a module
is open for update). That may identify issues that are preventing
conversion.

If you're getting a message telling you you don't have permission, then your
Access 97 database is secured. You need to get your database administrator
(or the developer) to give you full rights in the Access 97 database. Better
still, get them to remove security altogether.
