My PC regularly gives me a BSOD, also there are times when the cursor does
not appear in the login user box after boot-up.

Am running XP Home SP3.

I think it started when I upgarded to IE 8 Beta and Silverlight Beta

Wow, I haven't seen a BSOD in nearly 8 years! Cool!

You are in the wrong newsgroup for help though...try a newgroup for XP
general.

But remember you're running BETAs, hopefully not on a production machine
right?

I don't consider anything Beta as an upgrade...

Nor do I...FWIW Silverlight has been stable for me...IE8 I'm not using since
it'd be a pita to remove and I don't have a machine to spare to run it on.
