Archived from groups: microsoft>public>publisher (more info?)

I have downloaded the trial version of Publisher 2007 and installed it. When
I try to Activate it I get a message saying "A communication error has
occured. Please try again." It appears that the problem is that it won't
connect over the Internet yet I have Internet connection available and I am
online. I also noticed when I tried to install Windows OneCare Live I got an
error message saying there was a Network Connection problem. I have did
everything possible and this still won't activate. Can someone tell me what
is wrong because the articles in the knowlede base do not solve the problem.
I have also contacted my ISP and they tested my connection and nothing is
wrong with it.

Check your firewall, you might want to turn it off while you are installing
these products.

I have turned off the firewall so that is not it. I just did a system
restore and I am attempting to re install it, maybe it will work
