Post subject: Access Screen Display Problem
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>access>forms, others (more info?)

I am running Access 2K on an XP Pro machine. The background color for the
switchboard startup screen and all forms/screens are white, not their
regular colors. There are many versions of this applications running on at
least 50 machines and we have never seen this problem. Further all reports
that display to the screen have a gray background -- not white. When
printed to a printer they are okay. I checked the desktop property settings
for Windows and they all seem normal. And, this computer is not having
problems with any other programs. The only Office program on the machine is
Access 2K.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

We are happy to report this problem is solved! The issue was an HP
printer/scanner driver. I have seen this problem a few times previously and
should have thought of it this time. Apparantly, the HP driver changes the
MDAC settings.

MDAC settings for Access 2K and with XP have been a common problem for us.
