Is there a way to close a print preview when
the ribbon is minimized?

Most of the "ribbon" content does not apply
to production applications, so it's not normally
displayed when the user wants to exit from a
preview.

"Close Preview" is not offered in the list of
commands from "Customize".

Thanks,
Bill

Can they maximize the Ribbon?

So the Ribbon is disabled at runtime? But you can use the Quick Access
Toobars in the Access Option - Customize - select the toolbar in the left
listbox (Close Print Preview) and click Add and on top of the Right listbox,
there is a combobox- select it for the DB or For all documents (default).

If I'm understanding you, you're telling me that there's a
Customize sequence scenario that will allow me to put
a "Close Print Preview" on the Toolbar? If so, I'll have
access to the client's system some time on Monday to
try it out and will post back the results.
Thanks,
Bill

"toolbar in the left listbox" does not appear in the
when customize is selected, nor does close Print
Preview appear in the list of commands that can
be added to the toolbar.

Have you select left combobox above the left listbox? You have to select "All
commands" in the combobox inorder to find the commands.

I'm not sure now if I'd clicked "All Commands" or not, but apparently
I didn't as I finally saw the "Close Print Preview" and added it to
the toolbar.

As an aside, I did stumble across the option to put the "drop down
version" of "Close Print Preview" on the toolbar by right-clicking the
option when the ribbon was exposed, but that's not what I wanted
in that it's a two-step operation.

Thanks,
Bill
