Archived from groups: microsoft>public>access>tablesdbdesign (more info?)

I have five sites that do not have a common server, so I have to make changes
to database forms, copy those to a temporary holder database in order to
transfer them to the user's databases. My problem - and I hope someone has a
solution - is that we just upgraded to 2003 and now, when I try to drag a
form or query or anything from one database to the temporary holder database,
I get the message that I've placed the database in a temporary state that
won't allow me to open or lock it. "The database has been placed in a state
by user XYZ that prevents it from being open or locked." I searched the
microsoft knowledge db for help and got the SR-1 upgrade answer.
Unfortunately, my IT folks say, "I don't know the resolution, but this fix
can't work. Office 2000 (the version these service packs are for) has never
been installed on your system or the remote desktop computers. Your system
(and those) already have the latest service packs for 2003 (SP3) and 2007
(SP2)."

If anyone knows how to fix this, please help.
Thanks,
Bob

I must admit that I wasn't aware that you could drag 'n' drop between files
like that but have you tried importing instead?
