Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>application>errors (more info?)

The solution according to the M$ site is to run a hotifx kb958137 which
specifically addresses this problem. Tried this and unfortunately it tells me
that it can't find the relavant app (ie Word 2007) on my system. Now what?

So back to square one. Could someone from M$ answer this question?

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

Microsoft does not administer this Newsgroup: it solely a peer-to-peer
support group.

Are you saying that you cannot find Word on your computer? All these fixes
are irrelevant if it isn't installed.

I have Word 2007 including the pdf app installed on Vista PC (with latest MS updates), I use it every day.

I get an error when I save to pdf "unexpected error export failed". No other info, nothing in the logs.

Office diagnostic finds nothing wrong.

MS says run hotfix 958137.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958137/en-us

The hotfix can't find Word on my PC .

So I can't run it.

Is it now clear what the problem is?

This problem seems common in forums, but I'm yet to see a definitive solution.
