Post subject: unwanted text in replying and forwarding
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>general (more info?)

When I reply or forward emails from my computer at home (not work) the text
"[Carol]" appears seemingly at random as I write. It does not appear the
same in the message as shown here, however. In the message, it is italicized
and there is a line on each side, not brackets.

I connect to the Exchange server from home so have the same settings as at
work. I do not see any Autotext, Autocorrect, or Autoformat setting that
would insert [Carol].

I have tried to figure out what this is related to but can't figure out the
trigger.

I am using Windows XP.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Tools - Options - Preferences - E-Mail Options, uncheck 'Mark my comments
with'.

Thank you so much. I would never have found that.

Not a problem. I knew what the feature was and it took me a little bit to
find it myself...

Wow, are you up to speed. Only 2 years behind in the postings. We were
eagerly waiting for an update to that Sep 2007 thread.
