saving word document as Webpage

To whom that may help/comment/suggest,

I am trying to post some pictures on the web using Word. I inserted pictures
and resized them. i am able to save the document as webpage (filtered), and
then it creates a directory with all the relevant photos in smaller sizes.

but, i noticed that, once i have made a few more editions to the photos and
save the file as webpage again, some photos in the directory are gone. even
if i closed the file and reopen it. though all the photos are in the
document, but some are missing in the photo directory.....

why is this happening please? the only solution i found, was to start all
over again, i.e. inserting the photos again, resizing them and resave
them......

is there another solution to this please?
