Post subject: macros do not work in all workbook worksheets Archived from groups: microsoft>public>excel>crashesgpfs (more info?)
My excel workbook has 14 sheets, 12 of which hold data for each month of the
year:Jan-Dec.
I created macros in Aug and assigned quick access buttons to these macros.
They work fine when I run in worksheet:Aug however they do not work in any of
my other worksheets. I get a "run-time error '1004': Application-defined or
object defined error".
I created a test macro in worksheet:Sept and then tried to run it in Aug and
Oct however received the same error msg. It seems that my macros seem to be
exculusive to the worksheets that they were created in rather than work in
all the worksheets in my workbook.
Does anyone have any tips on how to make my macros work in any worksheet
that I choose to run in?

It's hard to give tips without seeing the code. If you recorded the macro,
the worksheet names are probably hardcoded.
