Post subject: issue with numbering style for Heading
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>numbering (more info?)

Hi,

I was trying to create a style for a heading in the word document. However,
what this heading should have is as follows

+ 16pts, Bold, green color
+ does not have "Section" or "Chapter" in the front
+ has paragraphs: 12pts in the before and 3pts in the after field

I was tempted to use Heading 1 but it has already been used.

So in the report, i have the following

Chapter 1. Testing Power Supply <--- (Chapter 1 is of type "Heading 1
style")
....
Chapter 10. Indicator

Bibliography <--- (i want this heading to be alone without any "Chapter"
or "Section" in the front, but it must still look like a Heading)

What i have been trying to do in order to achieve this was i created a new
style (with style based on "Heading 1", style for following paragraph
"Normal") and wen to numbering and got rid of "Chapter" word and saved the
style.

I then tested it in a document. The result was it worked however, when i
press "Enter" key to go to the new line thinking that i could start putting
in the content but it did not. The problem was the style was carried to the
new line too (which is bold, 16pt, and green). This is not what i wanted. I
wanted it back to normal that is 12pt, black color, and regular.

Hope i explained it well.

Thank you in advance

You neglected to set the "Style for following paragraph" to be Normal
instead of your new style.
