Is there a way to specify which page you want to insert as an object from a
mulitpage pdf file in PP2007? The needed page is not page 1; however,
inserting the pdf always shows page 1 and doesn't provide any options I could
find to select the page to insert. I realize I can break up the pdf file and
save out the page I need, but not all my coworkers have the ability to do
this. Since this is a CAD drawing pdf, using insert object gives the best
screen and print resolution, so we don't want to insert the page as a
screenshot or other "picture" version of it.

If there is a way to do this, I'd appreciate learning how.

thanks

Hi,

As you found out it's really difficult. Have a look here first:

http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00054.htm

An alternative you can try is to to split the PDF into single pages:

http://www.rptea.com/freeware.aspx

I haven't tried the product but it looks promising.

thanks Glen..sometimes I do have users using their snapshot tool in Acrobat
Reader to marquee the area of interest and paste into Paint and save as .jpg
or .png etc. They can then insert as a picture in Power Point. I was just
hoping that there might be a way to specify the desired page when inserting a
multipage pdf file as an object into PP.

thanks for trying!
