Post subject: help - I cannot delete words or letters Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>docmanagement (more info?)
My large file no longer allows me to delete or backspace my words or letters.

Does this affect the Backspace and Delete keys generally (that is, to delete
single characters backward or forward)? If so, do you have Track Changes
enabled?
If this affects only the ability to delete selected text, make sure you have
"Typing replaces selection" enabled (Tools | Options | Edit), as that
affects the ability to use Backspace to delete selected text. For Delete,
