Post subject: What happened to the preset picture effects option? Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>drawing>graphics (more info?)
Before, when I clicked on any picture that was inserted, and clicked format
on the ribbon, I was able to access the 'Preset Picture Effects' toolbar.
Currently, this option is unavailable, i.e. its greyed out. Why is this and
can I revert this to how it was earlier so I can use this great feature?

I'm assuming this is Word 2007
If you save the file as a Word 97-2003 document (.doc) or as a Word 2007 document and check the Save dialog box to maintain
compatibility then you won't have access to the Word 2007 only features, such as Picture Styles.
With the document open click the 'Office' button and if there is a 'Convert' choice click that to restore the Word 2007 version of
the document and its functions.
