Post subject: graphic not visible in Word 2007 Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>drawing>graphics (more info?)
This has been covered on other versions, but I don't see anything on Office
2007.
I have a new system that has Office 2007. When I open a document that was
created in Office XP, I cannot see the 2kb jpg graphic, but there is a
placeholder. If I select the object and drag it, I can see the graphic until
I release the mouse. If I click on View/Full Screen Reading, I can see the
graphic.
Another coworker has a system that had Office XP that has been upgraded to
Office 2007. When we open the same document in it, the jpg can be seen in
the Print Layout View.
I have just started using Office 2007 and I cannot find any of the previous
Tools/Options tabs.

Tools/Options has migrated... click the Office button in the upper left, and
click Word Options in the bottom right corner of the resulting menu.
The Picture Placeholders option that you need to turn off is on the Advanced tab
of the options dialog, under the "Show document content" heading. Also make sure
"Show drawings and text boxes on screen" is checked.
