Hey Tony,

I encountered the same issue as others before me losing hours of work.
All the solutions already posted in this topic haven't worked on my file, would you mind taking a look at it? It would be fantastic if you could do so.

Thank you very much,

MRei

You should be able to see a reference to my e-mail somewhere (depending on
how you are accessing the newsgroups) but it is: my forename at my surname
dot com.

Thank you for the document, Hamid.

I am still investigating this as it is very similar to another broken
document I have seen, but I have managed to recover the document by deleting
the TOC, even though the error pointed somewhere completely different.

Post subject: Sleuthing for the Problem [Login to view extended thread Info.]

Tony,

As a successful fixer of these type problems, can you provide insight as to where to start to fix a corruption problem such as the ones in this thread?

I have a document with an error pointing to document.xml, Line: 2 and Column: 1671017, but there seem to be no columns larger than ~58000. A typical max position showing in the editor's position window is Ln 2, Col. 57416, C0.

Can you say how to find it or the method you use to ferret out the problem location?

Thanks.
