Post subject: How to export custom form from exchange 2003 to exchange 2007 Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>program_forms (more info?)
Hello all,
I have just migrated from exchange 2003 to exchange 2007 (Small Business
Server) and the public folder migration failed. I am now trying to export by
hand via PST files. The tricky one is our folder which has a custom form
associated with it - I can't work out how to export to anything but a .oft
file and the machine I'm using to import the the form wants me to use .cfg
Both machines are using outlook 2003, the exchange servers are now set up on
separate VLANs because sbsserver won't play nice on the same network with
another sbs box for licensing reasons.
Could anyone please give me a clue?
Thanks
Miles

Normally you can open an OFT file from any Outlook version, although the
details of how you open it varies depending on the Outlook version. CFG
files are normally related to MAPI forms, not normal Outlook custom forms.
Which type are you trying to work with?

I'm unclear on what you're trying to export in this scenario -- the custom
form definition or the items created with the form or both.
