Hi,

In Excel 2007, if I choose Office button>Prepare>Properties, I get the
message "the document information panel was unable to load". Once this is
done, Excel window will refuse to close as if there is some module hanging
and not allowing it to finish. I have to kill Excel to close.

I launched the diagnostic and install repairation but nothing has changed.

I am using EXcel 2007 with VSTO 3.0

I have seen a similar problem on the web with people using SharePoint or
InfoPath but I don't have them on my machine.

Please I need some help on this issue. Do you have an idea what could be
causing this.

thanks

I have the same problem in Word. Haven't looked at properties in Excel yet.

Any solution? What is a document information panel anyway? I just wanted the
document properties.

I too had this error in both Word 2007 and Excel 2007. Additionally, Excel
would not exit normally (had to be killed). Solved the problem based on
information from
http://rhnatiuk.wordpress.com/2008/10/15/problem-showing-document-prop...ies-in-

I copied
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Web Designer Tools\Office12\1033\IPEDINTL.DLL
to
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\1033\IPEDINTL.DLL

That is, I copied IPEDINTL.DLL
from
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Web Designer Tools\Office12\1033\
to
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\1033\

That solved the problem for me.

Hope this helps someone else.
