How can I change the order of the pages in a Word doc?
I really don't want to have to cut and paste it all.
Thnx.

If each page begins with a Heading # style, you can move things around
easily in Outline view. Otherwise... Word is not a page layout program, and
doesn't "think" in terms of pages. So, you options pretty much are selecting
and dragging, cutting and pasting, and using the Move feature (select, press
F2, put the insertion point at the new location, and press Enter).

"The Move feature"? How is that in the slightest different from Cut/
Paste, except that you use different keystrokes?

You'll have to cut and paste. Word is not a page-base program.

The move feature doesn't use the clipboard. It can be useful if a) you don't
want to use the clipboard task pane and b) you have something in the
clipboard you want to preserve for access in a non-Office program. The move
feature can be a little less scary to squeamish users than cut/paste, as
well, since the text doesn't actually disappear from the original location
until you press Enter at the new location.
But, you're correct in that it's not less work or less tedious.
As I said, Word is not a page layout program, so it's not geared to easily
working with pages as units of a document. Almost anything is going to be
less fluid/flexible than if you're using a program designed with pages in
mind... just as nails work better with hammers than they do with
screwdrivers.
