Word 2007 running on XP SP2, both fully updated.

I followed the instructions in KB922849 and tried to reset the registry key.
However in the registry on this PC, the tree
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Security\FileOpenBlock
does not have any office branch!

I've tried running the diagnose and repair function in Office but this
didn't solve the problem.

Any suggestions?

Have you searched the registry for the file name?

If the registry key does not exist then, clearly, it is not the cause of
your problem. What is your problem?

If you don't know how, then don't do it!

Why do you want to do this? What are you trying to achieve?
