Post subject: Many Word functions suddenly disabled Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>application>errors (more info?)
All of a sudden, I cannot use the "Save" or "Save As" functions in Word. They
are totally disabled and you can't select them, i.e. they are light grey and
not able to be highlighted. Many other functions, including Options and
Customize in the Tools menu are also not working. What's going on?

It sounds like you either have a trial copy that has expired or a regular
copy that has not been activated (functionality is reduced after something
like 50 uses if it's not activated).
