Post subject: Word deleting code and scripts after edit in 2007? Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>web>authoring (more info?)
OK, here's the story. I maintain a simple company intranet that involves a
lot of updating and editing. I had originally made the site using Microsoft
Office 2003, so I could just jump in, make a couple WYSIWYG changes, and be
done with it. I also have some .ASP code to make the pages work with a secure
login system, some interactive javascript menus, and a slide show on one
page. Before, I just added the code once, and I could edit the page over and
over again and they scripts/code would still be totally functional.
However, I just switched to Office 2007, and now Word deletes my additions
to the basic page everytime I edit the page and I have to go in and re-paste
the code everytime.
Is there an option or something that I can click to have the program leave
my code intact so I can still have the ease of having Word to edit the pages
and still keep my fancier code, or is this a lost cause???
