Post subject: Word 2007 in trial version won't let me type or use most features Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>docmanagement (more info?)
I installed the trial version of Office 2007. For some reason Word won't let
me do anything. Everything is grayed out. The other programs seem fine. I
can open a document but can't type or make changes. In a new document I get
the cursor but it won't let me do anything. I get a message along the bottom
say the modification is not allowed because the selection is locked.

Either the trial has expired or you haven't activated it.
