Post subject: Word 2007 .tif import issue Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>drawing>graphics (more info?)
Background and issue:
I use healthline systems application called "Echo" Echo uses .rtf templates
to create standard letters. The templates includ variable fields to add
image files to the document. An example is "variable y: get report A". Report
A is a .tif file. The image is a full page (8.5 * 11) report at 300 dpi.
In Word 2003 this image is imported at about 80% of it's actual size. It
seems almost as if there is a default in Woord 2003 that says "fit picture to
page". The vendor never set this default, Word just always worked that way so
that is how the programed their software to use Word.
In Word 2007 the image is appearing at 300-500 % of it's original size and I
can not seem to force the image to fit to the page dimensions. If under Word
Options | Advanced | Web Options Pictures tab I set the target resolution to
match the image resolution then Word willimport the graphic at 100% of is
original size. I can not make it fit to the page.
I tried loading the variable into a table cell and setting the property of
the table to the margins of the page and the picture imported inside the
table cell but still fell off the page.
All times are: Eastern Time (US & Canada) (change)
