Hi
Does anyone know if the "Save As" dialogue box can be customised. The left
hand side of the box is headed "Favorite Links" and I'd like to add a
particular folder to that list.

Sounds like you're running under Vista? I was asking about this just
yesterday (having wrestled with it on another user's laptop without
success), and this is the answer I got:
From Jay Freedman:
Yes, you can add to the Favorite Links. Actually, "Favorite Links" is just a
folder in your profile (C:\Users\<profile name>\Links) that contains a bunch
of
folder shortcuts, plus a few that are added by the dialog itself.
Right-click a blank area of the Favorite Links pane and choose Open Favorite
Links Folder to open it in Explorer, and then throw in shortcuts to any
folders
you want.
Gratuitously, the Favorite Links won't show shortcuts to files, only those
to
folders. :-b
Terry Farrell added:
You can actually do it in Word. Simply press File Open, and the left-click
on the folder to drag and drop it onto the Favorites pane: choose the Create
Shortcut option.
The Open/Save dialogs in Word/Vista are actually using Windows Explorer.

Sorry to waste time - solved it myself - just added shortcut to the Favorite
Links folder.
