Post subject: Word 2003 error/shut-down occurs when it is not even open! Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>application>errors (more info?)
At random, I receive notification of Word 2003 being shut down even when the
application is not even open. This starts the send message to Microsoft and
Recover word message prompt. I have the latest Service Packs for XP and
Office updates installed. Any ideas?

I can't help you but I get the same sort of message as soon as I open my
computer without trying to open word - then it goes round the error message
loop until I tick a little box that says "do not reopen word" but I can't use
word at all.
I too would like some help!
