Is it normal for Winword.exe to keep 'hanging around' when I close Word
2000?
See screenshot at
<http://www.hetranslation.co.uk/screenshots/Windword_exe.png>.
I have a feeling it is causing problems with some of my other applications.
Is there a way to ensure that Winword.exe exits then Word closes?

If you use Outlook and have set Word to be your email editor, then Word will
stay memory resident to speed up the operations in Outlook.

Thanks, but I don't use Outlook - presumably the 'culprit' must be
another application? How can I find out which one?

I just remembered that the 'culprit' would appear to be the Trados
translation memory software, which seems to keep Word in memory and then
seems to stumble over it during batch operations - see
<http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/TW_users/messages/45857?threaded=1&m=e&var=1&tidx=1>
The Trados user group didn't come up with any solutions - do you have
any suggestions?
