Post subject: Vista ...I can't find or correct my own spelling errors?? Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>spelling>grammar (more info?)
I believe that I mis-typed....and then let my mouse button slip...and
erroneously entered a number of mis-spelled word as "add to dictionary" in
my custom dictionary.
I did this while using various text boxes on internet sites. I highlighted
the text; hit ABC check on the toolbar ( probably the Google tool bar) and
it spell checks just fine..except when I mess-up. I am assuming that it is
MS Word's spellchecker that is being used???
I cannot find the dictionary listing ( in Vista ..it's new "search" is its
own puzzle???)... to verify what I may have mis-typed.
Using WORD I can get to a "custom dictionary"...but..it doesn't show any
listings.. It would allow me to find and perhaps remove an erroneously
spelled word,...but I'd have to know what words I mistyped first??? .
Any help appreciated. thanks Rich
