Throughout my document I have add a bunch of Cross-References to paragraph
numbers. If I have to change those paragraph numbers or move them around, I
see that I can right-click on the reference and select Update Field so it
updates. What I'm looking for is how to update *ALL* references in my
document. I don't want to have to find each and every one and update them
individually. Is there a way to do this?

Cathy

Hi Cathy,

You could press Ctrl-A to select the whole document, then press F9 to update all fields.

Cheers

Thank-you. That's exactly what I was looking for.

I scoured the help file using the work "Update" and "Fields" and "reference"
and other combinations and couldn't come up with anything. Most of the hits
from the search were on sample documents for references for employment ..
not exactly what I was looking for!

Thanks again.
Cathy
