Hello!
I must be an idiot, because I can't find where the tools option is. I have
to merge something into word and it says to go into Tools, then options then
file locations. But I can't find tools anywhere.
Please help me : (

You probably got Word 2007. Click the Office button (top left corner)
and select Word Options. Then go to Advanced, scroll to the bottom and
click File locations.

Hi Courtney,

What version of Word?
What do you have to merge?
What is 'it' that 'says to go into Tools, then options then file locations' for this?

I too am having probs with Word 2007 and the tools not showing. I followed
above advice but you don't say what to do once you get to the advanced
options under file locations it has several files listed including Tools.
But what do i do from there?

Word 2007 doesn't have a menu bar and consequently doesn't have a Tools
menu. It's options are found at Office Button | Word Options. The placement
of the options within that set bear no direct relation to their arrangement
within the Options dialog of previous versions, so you have to ask about a
specific one.
