Post subject: Tables "Jump" in Word Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>tables (more info?)
Hi all-
This has been happening for a couple of years now and I am tiring of the eye
strain: I use tables in Word 2003 a lot and in most of those tables,
whenever I am entering text or numbers, the table jumps with each keystroke.
It looks like, for a brief moment, the table rows' height shrinks, then pops
back to normal size. Any idea how to fix this? I know it sounds petty, but
try entering pages of data this way!

In Table Properties > "Table" tab > "Options..." button
did you deactivate "Automatically resize to fit contents"?

Well, it's not that I deactivated it, but yes, it does appear to be
unchecked. I'll give that a shot!
Thanks,
Travis

I sometimes see this jumping when I am editing a table and have the
"WhiteSpace" hidden. You do not describe this but when I have WhiteSpace
showing my tables do not jump.
See http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/WhiteSpace.htm for further help with
this.
Hope this helps
