I have a PST file that serves as my default data file for mail in Outllok
2007. When I connect to through my company's Exchange Server, all of my mail,
etc., is transferred to my personal PST file. A bad side effect thous is that
all my Outlook calendar items are not visible on the Exchange Server. People
wanting to schedule meetings with me show that I have no scheduled meetings.
How do I synchronize my calendar items from my personal PST with the Exchange
Server calender for my mailbox?

What type of account are you using? POP? IMAP? Exchange? If the latter
(via VPN or HTTP), then make your delivery location the Exchange mailbox,
not the PST. If POP, then configure the account to leave copies of messages
on the server.

My mailbox is on the Exchange Server. If I utilize my Exchange Server mailbox
as the default data file, then that means I have to manually move my mail
items over to my personal PST file as well as manually copying calendar items
from the Exchange Server mailbox to my PST calendar.
Is there no way to synchronize my Exchange mailbox Calendar with my PST
Calendar?

you need the calendar in the mailbox to share it with others. if you need to
use a pst for mail, use rules to move the messages.

What makes you think you need to use a PST at all?

What would be a good rule to ensure that all mail is moved to my PST file?

I have two primary reasons for using a personal PST:
1. If the Exchange Server is unavailable, I still have access to all my
previous mail and calendar items.
2. My personal PST is not limited (space wise) versus the Exchange Server
mailbox size limit. I typically keep the last 1-2 months of mail and archive
the rest, but it is nice to to that at my leisure instead of being forced to
delete and remove files all of the time because the mailbox size limit is
reached.

2. Use Cached Exchange Mode - all of your mailbox items will be available
if Exchange is down.
