Post subject: Status Bar and Internet Explorer Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>customization>menustoolbars (more info?)
Hello all,
I have a co-worker that insists that the Word Status Bar should display in
Internet Explorer. I stated that I never really looked, so I didn't know
that it was ever there. We are using IE6 and Word 2003. Is there any option
to enable the status bar for Word in IE? I have not been able to find this
option. Was the status bar ever visible in IE? Could an update to
Office/Word or IE removed this option?

IE has its own status bar; it does not (ever) display Word's status bar.
