Post subject: Startup Configuration
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>installation (more info?)

I have a new instalation of Outlook 2007. On startup it tried to configure
itself and I responded that I have an Exchange account. The program then
tried to check my Exchange name. This has failed. I need to configure it
manually, but everytime I start the program it goes to check name and if I
exit from that it closes the program. I need to know what registry changes
need to be made to get out of this loop.

Start by installing your mail account in Control Panel->Mail Icon->Accounts.
Do you have an Exchange account? Are you connected to your business network
when trying to configure? What happens if you use the Manual configuration
option?
