Post subject: Recover Data After New Installation Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>bcm (more info?)
In my computer from Vista to Win 7 I forgot to backup my BCM database first
(I know, I know - but it happened). In reinstalling all my apps, including
BCM, it created a new database instance, but with no data in it. I still have
the *.mdf and *.ldf files from my previous installation, but I can't access
them.
I tried renaming them and copying them over the existing installation, but
that didn't work. It's too late for backup/restore now. Is there any other
way in which I can get the data out of the original files and into the new
instance?
Any assistance would be gratefully accepted.
