Post subject: Reading a text file in Excel using SQL.REQUEST
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>excel>datamap (more info?)

I simply cannot get it to work. Assuming a file test1.txt in c:\temp

=SQL.REQUEST(B1;C15; 2;"SELECT * FROM TEST1.TXT";TRUE)

Where B1 contains DSN=FB;DBQ=C:\TEMP always returns a value error. Any
ideas what I am doing wrong? I can query the file from MS Query and
linking EXcel to other databases work OK.
