Post subject: Properties of a Public Folder Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>teamfolders (more info?)
Good day.
My default, a public folder that I have set up is show in
my Outlook with the "number of unread messages"
highlighted in blue. However, when I go to the properties
of the folder the option to "Show total number of items"
is greyed out. In fact, both options are greyed out, but
it appears to display the number of unread messages by
default.
Is there a way to change the display so that I see the
total number of messages rather than the number of unread
messages? I have total Administrative access to both the
public folder and to the Exchange Server so changes to
either is possible.

I have the same problem, except on mine, I don't have either selected
(there is NO number after the public folder's name). I've tried adding
new items from another account (which should come through as unread as I
see it), but when I right-click the folder and do 'properties', both
"show number of unread items" and "show total number of items" are
grayed out.
I was thinking this might have something to do with permissions?
any help would be appreciated!!!

If the folder listed in Public Folders\Favorites? If not, try dragging it
there and using the Favorites copy.

Any ideas?
