Post subject: Problem when others open the .oft file Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>program_forms (more info?)
I've made a custom designed form in outlook and saved it as an .oft file.
When others try to open the form they don't get any of the fields, only what
looks like a normal message with my signature and the other person signature
in the body. I'm using rtf as my editor and so are the others and when i
open the form i see it as i should. Any suggestions?

Double-clicking won't work with most .oft form templates files. Instead users
need to open the template from the Tools | Forms | Choose Form dialog,
browsing for User Templates in File System. This means that if the .oft file
is sent as a message attachment, the user must save it to the local hard
drive first.
The article at http://support.microsoft.com/?id=907985 explains this in more
detail, suggests best practices, and provides registry keys that can return
Outlook 2003 to the older, less secure behavior.
