I can't seem to find the right solution for this!
I'm trying to insert an mpg into ppt 2003 (windows XP) and when I play the
presentation, nothing happens for a few seconds then powerpoint closes with
an error message.
I've tried placing the files within the C drive so the path name isn't too
long, I've tried updating direct X and I've updated windows media player -
nothing seems to work.
The file plays fine in windows media player. HELP!

Please, when you see an error message, WRITE IT DOWN. Exactly as it appears on
your screen.
Then when you go looking for solutions, quote the exact error message.
It's often helpful to use Google to search for the error message, or at least
significant parts of it. That can lead you directly to a solution w/o your
having to wait for an answer.
'Kay? 'Kay.
So. What was the error message?

Sorry, it's not an error message I get. The application says it encounters a
problem and must shut down.
