I'm upgrading my machine and I'm moving my mail from outlook2000 to
outlook2002. I have configured my email account to look exactly like the one
on 2000 yet when I try to test it I am unable to send a test message. It
keeps telling me to check my email address. I have confirmed that is it the
correct address I have even retyped it to make sure there are no hidden
characters. I have norton on the system and everything is allow just to get
that out of the picture. It does use POP security so my ports are 995 and 465
but that works ok for outlook express that I have on the system also. I
can't think of anything else. ANY suggestions?

Uninstall Norton, use their completely remove tool, from Norton site.
Clear temp files, reboot. Start again, you may have to create a new profile.
