Post subject: Outlook problems
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>general (more info?)

When in town I have no problems with Outlook in any way. When at our ranch
where our isp is hughes net I cannot send from Outlook. I can send from web
mail. My isp in town is Cox.

Cox requires that you use their SMTP server for outbound email.

If you are connecting to a different ISP at your ranch, you need to ask them
what outbound SMTP server you should be using.

This is then changed in Outlook. For 2003/2007: Tools-->Account Settings.
Select the account and the Change button.
